ผู้สอบต้องสามารถอธิบายและตอบคำถามเหล่านี้ได้
- ประเภทเครื่องดนตรีไทย ได้แก่ เรื่องการแบ่งหมวดหมู่ของเครื่องดนตรีโดยลักษณะการทำให้เกิดเสียง คือ ดีด สี ตี เป่า
- ประเภทวงดนตรีไทย ได้แก่ เรื่องประวัติความเป็นมาในแต่ละยุคสมัย วิวัฒนาการ การประสมวง และความเหมาะสมในการบรรเลงงานพิธีต่าง ๆ
- ประเภทของเพลงไทย ได้แก่ เรื่องการแบ่งลักษณะและจัดหมวดหมู่ของเพลงไทย
- ยุคสมัยของดนตรีไทย ได้แก่ เรื่องวิวัฒนาการตั้งแต่ก่อนสมัยทวารวดีจนถึงปัจจุบัน
- ศัพท์สังคีต ได้แก่ เรื่องศัพท์สำหรับสื่อสารในการบรรเลงดนตรี และศัพท์เทคนิคของเครื่องดนตรี

ผู้สอบต้องสามารถอธิบายและตอบคำถามเหล่านี้ได้
- ประเภทเครื่องดนตรีไทย ได้แก่ เรื่องการแบ่งหมวดหมู่ของเครื่องดนตรีโดยลักษณะการทำให้เกิดเสียง คือ ดีด สี ตี เป่า
- ประเภทวงดนตรีไทย ได้แก่ เรื่องประวัติความเป็นมาในแต่ละยุคสมัย วิวัฒนาการ การประสมวง และความเหมาะสมในการบรรเลงงานพิธีต่าง ๆ
- ประเภทและองค์ประกอบของเพลงไทย ได้แก่ เรื่องการแบ่งลักษณะและจัดหมวดหมู่ของเพลงไทย เรื่องเสียงของดนตรีไทย จังหวะของดนตรีไทย ทำนองดนตรีไทย การประสานเสียง เป็นต้น
- ยุคสมัยของดนตรีไทย ได้แก่ เรื่องวิวัฒนาการตั้งแต่ก่อนสมัยทวารวดีจนถึงปัจจุบัน
- ประวัติและผลงานของบุคคลสำคัญทางดนตรีไทย ได้แก่ พระบาทสมเด็จพระพุทธเลิศหล้านภาลัย พระบาทสมเด็จพระปิ่นเกล้าเจ้าอยู่หัว และพระบาทสมเด็จพระปกเกล้าเจ้าอยู่หัว
- ศัพท์สังคีต ได้แก่ เรื่องศัพท์สำหรับสื่อสารในการบรรเลงดนตรี และศัพท์เทคนิคของเครื่องดนตรี
Thai Music Theory, Pre-College Level (Grade PC)
Applicants must be able to explain and answer the following questions:
- The types of Thai musical instruments, separated into categories of instruments according to characteristics of sound production, meaning plucked, bowed, hit, and blown.
- The types of Thai music ensembles, including the history from each era, the evolution, the mixing of ensembles, and the suitability of performance in ceremonies.
- The types of Thai music, separated by the characteristics and categories of Thai music.
- The eras of Thai music, including the evolution since before the Tawarawadee period to the current period.
- Music Vocabulary, including vocabulary for communication when performing and technical vocabulary of music instruments.
Thai Music Theory, Undergraduate Level (Grade BM)
Applicants must be able to explain and answer the following questions:
- The types of Thai musical instruments, separated into categories of instruments according to characteristics of sound production, meaning plucked, bowed, hit, and blown.
- The types of Thai music ensembles, including the history from each era, the evolution, the mixing of ensembles, and the suitability of performance in ceremonies.
- The types and structure of Thai music, separated by the characteristics and categories of Thai music, as well as the sounds of Thai music, the rhythm of Thai music, the melodies of Thai music, the harmony of Thai music, etc.
- The eras of Thai music, including the evolution since before the Tawarawadee period to the current period.
- The history and accomplishments of important people in Thai music, including His Majesty The King Rama 2, Phrabat Somdet Phra Buddha Loetla Nabhalai, His Majesty The King Phrabat Somdet Pra Pinklao, and His Majesty The King Rama 7, Phrabat Somdet Phra Poramintharamaha Prajadhipok Phra Pok Klao
- Music Vocabulary, including vocabulary for communication when performing and technical vocabulary of music instruments.
